Crazy Quilt Paper Bits
Submitted by rockester on January 20, 2002 - 23:00
Do you love paper? I do! I also hate to waste any part of those beautiful backgrounds or solid bits that are left over after I cut a mat, die cut, or punch shapes. If pieces are roughly over two inches square, I save them to make other things. One of my favorite is this crazy quilt page. Here are the easy steps to create one of your own!

No Time To Scrap? Just A Minute!
Submitted by rockester on September 20, 2001 - 22:00

I hear it all the time from scrappers of all types: "I need more hours in my day," "I can't find time to scrap," "If only I could have a whole week to myself to get organized," "I can't seem to get going on my books," "I haven't done a page in months," and "I shop more than I scrap!" Common complaints, right? Have you ever said similar things? I must admit I have often felt pressed for time and my hobby is the first thing to flex. But if it flexes too often, we don't get very far finishing pages do we? Let's figure out a way to have more TIME to scrapbook.

Folded Garden Trellis Border
Submitted by rockester on June 21, 2001 - 22:00
Can you feel the sunshine? Is summer just around the corner? I really enjoy the sunny seasons--especially since I moved to Minnesota with it's cold winters!! I grew up with parents who enjoyed gardening and I guess the bug got passed onto me! Flowers make me happy no matter what the season. All hubby has to do after a tiff is bring me flowers--especially live ones--and all is right with the world! :)
Go South For The Border
Submitted by rockester on April 20, 2001 - 22:00

I love borders. And anyone who knows me, knows I love to work fast. Borders allow me to work quickly. I use sticker borders, top borders and side borders the most. But sometimes in my haste to get pages done, I end up in a rut. Ever have that feeling? You know what I mean....Standard page formula....a order at the top or side of the page and rectangular pictures with rectangular journal box. Pretty soon, all the pages look alike within a section of your album. EEK! Put the brakes on! Time for a change!

Believe me, circles are no longer boring!! I have just discovered the artwork of Hungarian born painter Beate Santor and her wonderful variations on the circle shape.
